This area was hand grubbed in 1997. 6 Years later the grub circles have held and release is evident
throughout the area.
These areas are typical of conditions in dense brush fields that were both ungrubbed and unplanted.
Even without grubbing release has occurred and growth rates are now keeping pace with FS guidelines.
This area shows the symbiotic relationship that is occurring
between the brush and conifers. Conifers in areas void of brush are
struggling to stay alive with poor growth rates while conifers in the
brush are thriving
